Situated in the middle of Camden's Stables Market is the Proud Camden rooftop–owned by the gallerist Alex Proud. The venue (formerly a horse hospital) hosts live music, cabaret, an art gallery and a club. The roof-garden plays host to live acoustic acts daily in summer, providing a relaxed vibe. The acoustic music is replaced with DJ sets in the late evening.
The Big Chill is popular for all ages, but you may find a large number of students here due to its close proximity to the University of the Arts. It has a very relaxed vibe with wood interiors and football tables upstairs–making it ideal for a down-to-earth beer and for large groups wanting to have fun!
This restaurant, pub and event venue is set over multiple floors. It features a gastropub on the ground floor (decorated in beautiful neutral and pastel colours) and a cocktail bar on the first. There are private rooms on the second and third floor, for parties and even private film screenings. The rooftop (pictured) has a fully equipped bar at the far end of the terrace and a specially created DJ booth, hosting a selection of events throughout the Summer. It can also be exclusively hired alongside BBQs for two hours any day of the week.
Right, so this isn't exactly a rooftop...but it kind of is! The terrace is only one-story high (and tables fill up very quickly in the summer), but you do get beautiful views of the newly renovated open space with its fountains. If you are not too bothered about being high-up, you can go down to the lower level, which leads out onto Regents Canal at the back of the property which is arguably the best spot.
