Barrio

Perfect for: big groups

Barrio is a small chain of bars that seem to be cropping up in all areas of the Capital. One of the benefits of the Brixton branch is its indoor and outdoor patio, making it perfect to visit early in the evening when the sun is still out in summer. This bar has latin vibes, making it fun, colourful and relaxed! This venue is located very close to The Blues Kitchen so if you are visiting one you may as well visit both!
Weekend opening hours: Friday 4 pm - 2:30 am & Saturday 11 am - 2:30 am
Other Locations: Shoreditch (East), Soho (Central) & Angel (North)

Naughty Piglets

Perfect for: dinner with a great atmosphere

If you love wine, this is the place for you! The wine list in this venue is a “real expression of the terroir, with minimal intervention in the winery”. It has plenty of options in addition to exceptional food. Our favourite seat in the venue is one at the bar as you can sit and watch the chef prepare and serve the beautifully presented food. This venue has a great atmosphere and is a locals favourite.
Weekend opening hours: Friday & Saturday 6 pm - 10 pm
Other locations: The cleverly named ‘The other Naughty Piglet' is in a bigger venue in Victoria (Central)

Three Eight Four

Perfect for: a casual date

We strongly recommend booking a table at this cocktail bar, as it is small and gets crowded at the weekend. Another reason to book a table is so you can order food as it is also a tapas bar. They offer a wide variety of small plates from cuisines from all over the world. The interior is industrial chic, giving the compact space the right vibe for a relaxed date.
Weekend opening hours: Friday & Saturday 5 pm - 1 am
Other locations: Three Eight Four has a sister tapas restaurant named Seven–located in Brixton
